Es convoquen 22 noves beques per a estudiants sense recursos per continuar la seva carrera de Medicina

• La Fundació per a la Protecció Social de l’Organització Mèdica Col·legial, el Consell Estatal d’Estudiants de Medicina i la Fundació Mutual Mèdica destinen 22.000 euros per a aquests ajuts

• EL termini de sol·licitud arrenca aquest dilluns 31 de maig i estarà obert fins el 25 de juny

La Fundació per a la Protecció Social de l’Organització Mèdica Col·legial (FPSOMC), el Consell Estatal d’Estudiants de Medicina (CEEM) i la Fundació Mutual Mèdica (FMM) han convocat vint-i-dues ajudes a estudiants de Medicina de tot Espanya amb dificultats econòmiques per contribuir a assegurar la continuïtat dels seus estudis universitaris.

La present convocatòria té per objecte la concessió d’ajudes econòmiques als estudiants de 4t, 5è i 6è curs de Medicina de tot Espanya, amb dificultats econòmiques per poder continuar amb els estudis d’aquesta disciplina universitària que han rebut ajuda econòmica per part del Ministeri d’Educació per al curs 2019-2020 i aquest organisme se l’ha denegat per al curs 2020-2021.

Aquests ajuts són fruit del conveni de col·laboració establert per iniciativa del CEEM des de l’any 2016, que aquest any les tres organitzacions han reforçat creant un fons de 22.000 euros destinat a estudiants d’aquests cursos de Medicina.
Per al Dr. Tomás Cobo president de la FPSOMC, “aquesta Fundació solidària que acompanya els metges i les seves famílies en els moments de més dificultat, especialment ara amb la pandèmia de Covid-19, no podia oblidar-se dels estudiants de Medicina, que són futurs companys de professió ja que formen part d’aquesta gran família mèdica “.

“La FPSOMC ofereix ajudes, prestacions i acompanyament al col·lectiu mèdic i les seves famílies de forma integral no solament durant la seva etapa formativa i professional, sinó també durant tota la seva vida, davant de situacions de vulnerabilitat”, assegura el Dr. Cobo.

Per la seva banda, Ángel Benegas, president del Consell Estatal d’Estudiants de Medicina (CEEM), expressa que “és un orgull poder treure un altre any més les beques perquè companys que la situació no sigui favorable per culminar els seus estudis puguin fer-ho gràcies al compromís social que tenim totes les associacions i fundacions que fan això possible. Estem compromesos amb el futur del sistema sanitari, el futur de la Medicina, i així ho va quedar plasmat “.

Finalment, el Dr. Alejandro Andreu, president de la Fundació Mutual Mèdica, destaca que “com a mutualitat de previsió social que es basa en un sistema d’economia col·laborativa és un plaer renovar per quart any la col·laboració amb el CEEM i la FPSOMC per seguir ajudant amb aquestes beques als estudiants de Medicina”. A més, el Dr. Andreu explica que amb la crisi sanitària i econòmica provocada per la COVID-19, Mutual Mèdica, entitat sense ànim de lucre que reinverteix els seus beneficis en el col·lectiu mèdic a través de la Fundació Mutual Mèdica, ha manifestat un cop més seva autèntica raó de ser. “Per això la Fundació Mutual Mèdica s’ha incrementat en un 40% la dotació a aquestes beques a petició del CEEM per pal·liar el moment tan difícil que estem patint en l’economia de les famílies per la pandèmia”.

Les tres entitats incideixen en la importància de garantir que els talents de la professió mèdica puguin fer d’aquesta disciplina el seu treball i que, no només concloguin els seus estudis, sinó que ho facin en les millors condicions possibles i puguin, així, exercir la seva vocació de per vida.

Per això, coincideixen en fer una crida a les institucions de manera reivindicativa i solidària, ja que consideren que són els governs estatals i autonòmics que, d’una manera coordinada, han de garantir l’accés a l’educació de forma equitativa per a tots els estudiants d’aquesta i altres disciplines, sense que es vegi interrompuda per motius econòmics.
